LIVINGSTON, NJ — With four goals a piece in a boys lacrosse home game against Cedar Grove on Saturday, Livingston’s Jason Scher and Tommy Werner led the Lancers to a 15-2 victory over Cedar Grove—bringing the boys lacrosse team to a 2-2 overall record so far this season.
In addition to his four goals, Scher also added four assists, making him the top-scorer for the Lancers on Saturday. Goals also came from Brian Russo, who netted two, Eddie O’Donnell, Ryan Valese, Andrew Cilenti, Dylan Mandelbaum and Luke Nardone.
Cedar Grove’s Joe Amati and Alex LoPresti scored the two goals for the black and yellow and goalie Andrew Candino made 14 saves despite allowing 15 past him.
Livingston goalies Stephen Russo and Damon Persaud each allowed only one goal against the Lancers.
Livingston fell to Watchung Hills, 6-5, and Morristown Beard, 8-5, earlier in the season, but are now on a winning streak with victories over Columbia and Cedar Grove.
The Lancers will take on Newark East Side on Tuesday in an away game and hope to come away with their third win.
