Levine, Jacobs & Company, LCC Celebrates 60 Years in Business

Levine, Jacobs & Company, LLC, recently celebrated 60 years in business with a Cocktail Reception held at Mayfair Farms in West Orange.

It was an opportunity to bring together clients and friends of the firm, many of whom are multi-generational, and introduce them to other clients for networking purposes and to all the partners, managers and staff of the firm.  According to Robert J. Blackwell, CPA/PFS, Managing Partner, “This night was not only a milestone of sixty years in business; it was a celebration to thank all of our clients and friends for their trust and their loyalty.”

Levine, Jacobs & Company is built on a strategy: develop personal relationships and maintain accounting expertise that’s both wide and deep. It’s an approach many companies aspire to, but this firm has mastered. “Every account receives the support of the whole firm,” says Michael H. Karu, CPA/CFF, who along with Steven L. Levine, CPA/PFS – co-managed Levine, Jacobs for over a decade. “We match the focus of each partner to the needs of each client, and then pull in others when new issues come up.”

In addition to regular accounting services, Levine, Jacobs offers business valuations and litigation support, investment management, and tax preparation services. Our support staff includes those who are skilled in business consulting, financial statement compilation, review, auditing, tax planning, succession planning, business valuation, litigation support, nexus issues and computer consulting. Such a range of services allows the firm to look at a client’s complete financial picture. The result is one-stop shopping for financial advice and management.  The resulting relationships tend to be both deep and long-term, with many clients continuing to call on the firm even after moving out of state.

That philosophy impacts more than Levine, Jacobs’ approach to accounting. Partners and staff are involved in groups throughout Essex, Morris and Union counties, as members of the Rotary Club, the Kiwanis Club, Dress for Success programs for women’s shelters and a motorcycle-led Toy Run around the holidays. The firm also is a sponsor of two Little League teams and a team to benefit the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation - the PKD Walk. “Everyone’s involved,” says Steve Levine. “It’s part of being a good business, a good neighbor.”

Levine, Jacobs provides a unique combination of twenty-first century accounting, business consulting and financial planning services to a diverse list of individuals located primarily in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

Levine, Jacobs & Company, L.L.C. prides itself on its teamwork abilities where “every account receives the talent and expertise of the whole firm.” With headquarters in Livingston, NJ, clients are located throughout the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania tri-state region.

I am truly awed by the Olympics.  Watching these superb young athletes on TV inspires me to renew my membership to the gym and pursue my lifelong dream of taking home the gold.
