Livingston High School Technology Education teachers, Brian Megaro and David Richards have each been awarded the New Jersey Technology Educators Association’s Innovative Technology Educator Award.  This prestigious award honors five New Jersey Technology Education Teachers for outstanding dedication and innovation in the field of Technology Education.  This award, sponsored by the Edison Venture Fund, recognizes extraordinary contributions and performance by educators with an unrestricted cash award of $10,000 to each honoree.

The mission of the New Jersey Technology Education Association is to foster the development of technological literacy through Technology Education programs in the state of New Jersey. The NJTEA provides curricular and instructional models through a program of professional development for its members; recognizes exemplary Technology Education teachers and school programs through an awards program; advises its members as needed of changes in state law as well as national trends critical to the field of Technology Education; and promotes technological literacy through partnerships with individuals and organizations within and outside of the field of Technology Education.
