LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston’s new Livingston Barbershop Unisex, located at 615 South Livingston Avenue, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating its one-month anniversary on Monday.
Livingston Mayor Al Anthony, members of the council and members of the Livingston Area Chamber of Commerce and Business Improvement District joined owners Maira Riley and Marlin Guerrero for food and refreshments as they welcomed the new business.
Riley and Guerrero, the former co-owners of Super Cuts in both Livingston and West Orange, are no strangers to the community—having been in Livingston for five years prior to opening Livingston Barbershop on Nov. 1. Both women said they look forward to seeing some of their old clients in the new location.
“We are not only a barbershop, we’re unisex,” said Guerrero. “So we do the whole family—kids, women, color, blow dry and of course barbering. I’m looking to pick up all my customers that don’t know I’m here.”
The owners encourage area residents of all ages and genders to check out their new space.
