LIVINGSTON, NJ - The Livingston Committee for Diversity is planning two special events on Jan. 19 to commemorate the life and achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The celebration will be held at the Livingston High School cafeteria from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19. The members of the community are all invited to participate in several community service projects.
The Committee also asks all participants to bring donations of coats, men’s clothing, canned goods, and prom and special occasion dresses. These will then be distributed to various charitable organizations.
At 5:00 p.m., the community is invited to join the Committee in singing “We Shall Overcome,” during a march around the Oval.
