LIVINGSTON, NJ - Stanford University freshman, Stanley Chernavsky, a 2014 LHS graduate recently paid tribute to his Livingston High School physics science teacher Tom Walsh, when the universityl tasked members of the incoming class with acknowledging one former teacher or mentor who played a significant role in their intellectual, academic, social and personal development.

“I am very much honored to be recognized for exceptional teaching by Stanford University,” said Mr. Walsh, who received a teacher tribute certificate and letter of appreciation. “With so many outstanding teachers here in Livingston, it is really a special honor to have a student choose me for this recognition. The student who nominated me, Stanley Chernavsky, is one of the most incredible, multi-talented students I have ever had the pleasure of having in class, so that too makes this honor truly special.”
