LIVINGSTON, NJ - Livingston High Schools’ (LHS) Director of Athletics Patrick Genova has announced that there will be five spring sign up meetings for spring sports this upcoming week and has provided information on spring physicals for all sports. The following is a list of all LHS spring sports: boys/girls spring track, boys volleyball, golf, boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse, baseball, softball and boys tennis.
Wednesday, Jan. 21
- Boys Volleyball will begin immediately after school in cafeteria C/D.
- Boys Tennis will begin immediately after school in room C-251.
Thursday, Jan. 22
- Boys and Girls Spring Track will begin after school (site to be announced).
- Boys Lacrosse will meet after school in the wrestling room on the second floor of the Fitness and Wellness Center.
- Softball will meet in TV Studio B at 7:35 a.m. for a sign-up meeting.
Friday, Jan. 23
- Golf will begin immediately after school in room A220.
All students considering participation in a spring sport at LHS, must register in Genesis for that sport at this time by logging into the parent portal and taking care of this requirement.
Additionally, the second and final step of the registration process is the physical requirement. Step two is quite simple:
If the current physical will not expire prior to March 6, which is the first day of spring practice, all the parent needs to do is to download and complete the one page “Health History Update Questionnaire,” which is posted on the LHS athletic website. Once that one page is complete, it should be sent into the high school nurse.
If the current athletic physical will expire prior to March 6, the student will need a new athletic physical documented on the state forms, which are also are posted on the LHS athletic website. Once the physical is complete, it should be sent into the high school nurse.
LHS will be offering free athletic physicals at the high school at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, and no appointments are necessary; however, parents still must download and complete their portion of the forms from the website and have the student bring those forms to the nurse’s office on January 28.
If parents wish to take their child to their own physician, which LHS encourages, that physical must be documented on the state forms.
