LIVINGSTON, NJ - The Livingston Library hosted its Annual Spring Benefit on Thursday, April 24 for Livingston residents to kick back at a wine tasting, while raising money and support. Guests enjoyed a buffet provided by Kings, wine, raffle gift baskets and a silent auction. Once a guest walked in the door, he/she got a “passport” stamped for a chance to win a door prize.
Merchandice raffle prizes ranged from a Love Letters kids’ basket, to a Chocolate Works basket, and dining gift certificates to toys and more.
Guests placed silent auction bids for trading cards, Paper Mill Playhouse tickets, Yankees tickets, a hotel weekend getaway and more.
Attendees on long lines, with plates piled high, and trays being emptied quickly, enjoyed the appetizers provided at the Kings’ buffet. The foods ranged from crudité to sushi, Chinese food, and more.
People sat on chairs in corners chatting with friends and nibbling away, while listening to soft music. In addition, many guests tried out the wines, which were located at different stations.
Sponsors who helped to make the night possible included: Members of the Board of Library Trustees, Kings Fine Wines & Spirits of Short Hills, Kings Catering of Short Hills, Allied Beverage—Meritage Division, Omni Wines, Peerless Beverage Company, R & R Marketing, Regal Imports, Touton Imports, Vias Imports, Winebow, Bob Beck’s Sports Collectibles, West Essex Tribune, and anonymous donors.
