LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston Public Library has long been in the business of lending things. It started with books, newspapers, and magazines, then they took a dive into the digital world. Libraries were one of the first institutions to provide internet access to the public. Now, you can borrow ebooks, audiobooks, learn a language or take a class! All these things are free with your Library card.
Livingston Library continues to innovate with new and exciting things to lend. For example, now you can borrow passes to your favorite museum, a telescope, and other items from their Library of Things. In fact, they have just released some new activity kits this Spring, Coloring Kits with stress-relieving designs for coloring the stress away; Yoga Kits as necessities for exercise and meditation; Birdwatching Kits to get outdoors and zoom in on feathered cuties; and Roku Kits so you can stay in and stroll into different worlds on the screen.
“Have you ever wanted to try a new hobby and couldn’t, because you didn’t want to invest in the gadgets and accessories that would complete the experience?” asked Katie Neylan, Head of Adult Services, “because now, we’ve added more activity kits for you to borrow. These items are available for circulation and for you to take home to learn, try and explore.”
The Livingston Public Library is located at 10 Robert Harp Drive, Livingston, NJ 07039. For more information about the Library of Things, visit their website livingstonlibrary.org or call 973-992-4600.
