LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston Mayor Michael M. Silverman and fellow officials from the Township of Livingston joined developer BNE Real Estate Group Tuesday at the Grand Opening of The Hillside Club, the upscale rental community BNE has opened for leasing in Livingston. Onlookers celebrated as Silverman cut the ribbon, allowing The Hillside Club to officially deliver its collection of 80 one-and two-bedroom condo-style homes to the Livingston marketplace.

Located at 1000 Murray Court (247 W. Northfield Road), The Hillside Club is convenient for commuters, as routes 280, 10 and 24 are all easily accessible. Ranging in size from 791 to 1,831 square feet of living space, with prices starting from $2,195, the homes at The Hillside Club are designed to suit the needs of anyone looking to downsize or renting a first home.

“With our newest project, the Hillside Club, we’re offering a new boutique, luxury rental community that will be a great benefit for the township and its newest residencies,” BNE Real Estate Group Executive Vice-President Jonathan Schwartz said. “We are filling the need for empty nesters who are looking to downsize, young couples looking to start their life in Livingston and young professionals working at the various businesses in the surrounding areas.”

The Schwartz family at the BNE Real Estate Group has been building in Livingston for more than 20 years and has seen much success with projects such as Bel Air, The Fairways and The Pointe at Livingston. According to Schwartz, all of these projects have brought something different to Livingston — whether they were single-family homes, town houses for empty nesters and young families or 55-and-over condominiums.

This particular rental community offers seven unique apartment layouts, including one-and two-bedroom residences with the added option of a loft or private balcony. Community amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, outdoor heated pool, and a residents’ lounge. Some individual apartment amenities include plush carpeted bedrooms, 9-foot ceilings, high-efficiency washer and dryers and the option to live with a pet.

Because the family lives and works in Livingston, Schwartz said this project is a true reflection of the BNE Real Estat Group as builders and business owners. The BNE Real Estate Group is confident that their newest residents will shop in Livingston, eat in Livingston and ultimately add to the culture.

“This project is near and dear to my heart. We love this town and it’s our pleasure to bring beautiful luxury rental apartments to this great community,” Schwartz said. “All these projects brought new housing and opportunities for people in all stages of their lives, which I believe to be an incredibly important part of viability and sustainability of a township.”

Silverman thanked the BNE township partners for all the hard work they put into not only this project, but also the township as a whole. Speaking for the Township of Livingston officials a whole, Silverman said they are looking forward to even more BNE Real Estate projects down the road.

“As people move into this development they will see how wonderful Livingston is," Silverman said. "They will see all the wonderful things Livingston has to offer: shopping in town, eating in town and just being part of our community. Whether these people are moving from within Livingston or from outside, they will be welcomed with open arms and they will have a wonderful place to live and a wonderful community.”

Enough already.

I get it.  It is an easy mistake to make, misusing would and wouldn’t.  It happens to me all the time.

Extra Time

It was close to 70 minutes into the match and I had to go to the bathroom.  Badly.

As fans watching the World Cup know too well, bathroom breaks are a serious dilemma, especially for those who don’t have a TV in the loo.  This biological necessity is exasperated by beer, which during World Cup matches also fuels a strong propensity to throw chairs and instigate riots.
