Livingston Police Department to host Third Coffee with a Cop Event

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston Police Department (LPD), in conjunction with the Livingston Area Chamber of Commerce, invites area residents to join members of the department for a free cup of coffee and some conversation on Thursday at Livingston Bagel.

The third LPD “Coffee with a Cop” event will be held from 7:30 to 9:15 a.m.

“Coffee with a Cop” is a national initiative to create an informal way for people to meet with police officers to discuss community issues, build relationships and drink coffee.

Different from the typical monthly chamber resource breakfasts, there will be no agenda or speeches. The event is intended as an opportunity for community members to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know the officers that patrol their neighborhoods.

The motto of the program is “Building relationships one cup at a time.” There will be more events planned in the future, all taking place at different times during the day to accommodate residents’ varying schedules.

All ages are welcome. For questions, contact Officer Gary Mankowitz at (973) 992-3000 extension #3208 or
