LIVINGSTON, NJ – On Monday June 30, 2014 the Livingston Police Department unveiled the permanent drug drop box that will be located inside the police department. Prescription drug drop offs are available 24-hours per day, seven days a week and 365 days a year at the police department.

“The prescription drug drop off box enables residents to safely dispose of unused, unwanted or expired prescription medications,” said Police Chief Craig Handschuch.

Local Livingston High School students created the drop off box for the community. It was encouraged by ADAPT (Alcohol & Drug Abuse Prevention Team) of Essex County.
