LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston police received two reports of burglary on Monday at approximately 9 a.m. at residences on East Drive and Hillside Avenue with jewelry and other valuables taken from both.

Entry was made through the front door of both houses, according to police. Both burglaries are under investigation.

In other news, police also responded to the Livingston Mall on Wednesday, March 15 at 9 a.m. on a report from the H&M store that an individual was attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill.

Upon police arrival, an investigation was conducted and the individual, a 23-year-old man from Newark, was taken into custody after it was discovered that he had attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill and was also in possession of two additional counterfeit $100 bills.

The man was processed and released pending court action at Livingston Municipal Court.
