Information to be entered into the computer system includes the child’s name, date of birth, birth certificate record number, primary language, and insurance. Legal resident information is also required.

Parents will be directed to download forms to compete.

• Health Services Information/Medical Packet

• Landlord Affidavit Form

This online system is used for all students new to the district. Students entering grades 1-12, for example, will also be required to download a Records Request, among other forms listed on the website.

Please email Registrar Amy Ennis to schedule an appointment to finalize the registration @

Please bring all documents to the appointment, including the child’s birth certificate; children do not need to accompany parents.

Parents who have other children currently attending a Livingston elementary school must also complete this pre-registration and appointment process for their incoming kindergarten student.

More information is available on the LPS website, including entrance ages and residency requirements. There is also information on busing, academic calendars, healthcare, aftercare and school lunch programs. For this “helpful information” click HERE.

If you believe that an additional year at home would be in your child’s best interest, it is permissible for him/her to enter kindergarten the following year. Should you have questions about this option, please email Mrs. Ennis to arrange to have one of Livingston’s principals discuss this matter with you.

Livingston Public Schools determines the placement of students based upon the enrollment at each elementary school. Parents/guardians will be notified of their child’s assigned school by June 1, 2017.

For more information regarding the assignment of pupils, refer to Policy 5120, which can be found on the District’s website in the policy section, under the Livingston Board of Education tab. Student and parent kindergarten orientations will take place in June in the schools.

Get Smart

I don’t want to be on a first name basis with my refrigerator.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I am all for cool technology—when it works—but I draw the line at talking to appliances.  I have enough trouble carrying on conversations with humans.

But in what must be one of the truly great technological oxymorons of our time, the dawn of the ...
