LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston Recycling and Reclamation Committee was recently on hand at the Route 10 Farmer's Market to unveil new signs encouraging customers to consider the question, "Do I really need this bag?" when making a purchase.
According to the committee, the average American family takes home nearly 1,500 plastic shopping bags per year, when the better option might be to choose a reusable bag.
Pictured above are Livingston's Recycling and Reclamation Committee members Walter LeVine; John Yang, Manager of the Farmer's Market; Renee Resky; Mayor Shawn Klein; Laurie Babij; and Karen Garber.
Any Livingston business interested in posting these signs should contact Karen Garber at firstname.lastname@example.org.
