Livingston Resident Supports Hospice

Honi Weiss of Livingston

Honi Weiss of Livingston, NJ, will celebrate 27 years as a member of the Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center (SBHPCC) The Friends of Hospice in November. As founder of the group, and a retired 19-year employee of the SBHPCC, Ms. Weiss has been integral in the success of its many events and fundraisers. She has also served as a member of the SBHPCC’s Board of Trustees.

The Friends of Hospice is a group of volunteer women who devote their time to the SBHPCC.  The Friends will celebrate its 27th Anniversary Fall Event, on Thursday, November 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange. The luncheon will feature boutique shopping; a fashion show sponsored by the well-known Max Mara label which has more than 2,200 boutiques worldwide; a 50/50; and raffle drawings. Tickets are $95 – Friend; $125.00 – Benefactor.  All proceeds will benefit the patients and families served by the SBHPCC, an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System.

Established in 1981, Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center provides comprehensive physical, emotional and spiritual care and support services for patients with advanced illness and their families, regardless of their ability to pay. The program, which serves infants, children, adults and the elderly, honors the unique choices and values of patients and their families and offers full access to the broad array of services provided by the Saint Barnabas Health Care System.
