Livingston Residents are Donating to Worthy Causes for the Holidays


LIVINGSTON, NJ - This holiday season, there are a few holiday collections happening in Livingston including one for needy families, one for needy children and one for the animals at the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter. Anyone else holding a holiday collection is invited to send an email with details to

The Township of Livingston Health Department and students in the LYCS Leaders program are sponsoring a Holiday Giving Tree this season, which is located at the Senior/Community Center at 204 Hillside Ave, Livingston, NJ in the front lobby. Click here to view the Giving Tree flyer. The collection of new hats, mittens, gloves and scarves will run through Jan. 12. In addition, a collection called, Valentine Kisses, is being held for the animals at the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter through Jan. 27. Those interested may click  HERE to donate supplies online. And, recently, Livingston Youth and Community Services (LYCS) finished its Toys 4 Tots collection for in need children. They collected unwrapped and wrapped gifts labeled with for boy/girl/unisex and age range of gift that will make it into children’s hands just in time for the holidays.
