LIVINGSTON, NJ — Ethan Chang, a rising senior at Livingston High School (LHS) and the principal clarinetist in the LHS Wind Symphony, recently took the top spot in the New Jersey Wind Symphony's (NJWS) Youth Soloist Competition.
In the last year, Chang has also been named the first-place winner of the 2020 Crescendo International Competition, the 2020 Elite International Competition and the 2019 NLPA International Young Artist Competition.
Additionally, Chang is a member of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (NJSO) Academy Orchestra, Region I Orchestra and the NYYS Chamber Music Program and has performed at renowned venues such as the DiMenna Center, NJPAC, Merkin Hall and Carnegie Hall.
Chang, who currently studies with Ayako Oshima-Neidich from The Juilliard School, has been invited to participate in master classes hosted by Pascal Archer, Anne-Marie McDermott and Toyin Spellman-Diaz as well.
