WEST ORANGE, NJ — When the New Jersey Advertising Club hosts its gala awards ceremony at the Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange on Nov. 17, Sally Glick of Livingston’s Sobel & Co., LLC will be honored as one of the 2016 inductees for the Advertising Hall of Fame of New Jersey.
The NJ Ad Club promotes industry resources, creates a dialog on issues of importance to the advertising community, helps its members develop new skills and provides opportunities for business relationships with New Jersey-based companies. Those inducted into the Hall of Fame annually are considered to have made significant, lasting contributions to the advertising industry in New Jersey.
“I am thrilled to be selected and am proud of my firm for supporting marketing as an important component of our firm's growth,” said Glick.
According to the NJ Ad Club, criteria used to evaluate if an individual qualifies for the Hall of Fame include the extent to which they have demonstrated creativity and professional integrity; a person’s contributions in philanthropy; the extent to which they have made an economic contribution; their achievements at a state and national level; and their involvement in New Jersey's advertising and/or marketing communications community.
A nominee must also have been actively engaged in advertising, marketing or communications for at least 20 years—a substantial portion of which must have been in New Jersey.
Other inductees this year include: Ed Kessel, Sound Imagination, Inc; Jessica Levin, Seven Degrees Communications, LLC; Tom Marguccio, SCG Advertising & Public Relations and Monica Smith, Marketsmith, Inc.
“These individuals have each made a significant impact on the advertising industry in New Jersey,” said Sandra Schler, Chair, Advertising Hall of Fame of New Jersey. "The Advertising Hall of Fame of New Jersey offers a way for us to recognize and celebrate their contributions."
“I am so excited about this year's Advertising Hall of Fame Nominees," said Franco Zito, President of the NJ Ad Club. "The tremendous achievement of these individuals is indicative of the type of talent available in New Jersey and the NJ Ad Club. I congratulate this year's winners and am humbled by their awesome achievements.”
