LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston High School seniors Lawrence Lerman and Emma Greenberg were recently recognized by the Livingston mayor and council for their many years of service to the Livingston Advisory Committee for Disabilities (LACD).

LACD chair Bob Gebroe said no one will be able to fill these two students’ shoes once they graduate at the end of the month. He also congratulated both of their parents for “doing something very right” in raising these two “superior kids.”

“We’re here to honor two kids, who I would say are not special, they are absolutely exceptional,” said Gebroe. “They have put in hundreds if not thousands of hours into the LACD over the last three years.”

More than 300 guests attend each of the LACD’s three parties throughout the year, where Lerman and Greenberg have been responsible for bringing in dozens of volunteers over the last three years. Gebroe thanked Lerman and Greenberg for going above and beyond the call of duty for the committee.
