LIVINGSTON, NJ — As a special component of the second annual Livingston Summerfest on Saturday, the Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club will host its fundraising Duck Race at Littell's Pond from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., sponsored by Regal Bank, Investors Bank, PIP Printing and CareOne.
Ducks for the race are currently being sold at various locations throughout Livingston. These duck races are a popular fundraiser internationally for Rotary Clubs to help raise funds for various charities. With the sale of ducks and support of corporate sponsors, the Sunrise Rotary is able to continue to give back to the community.
The race will include more than 1000 plastic, numbered ducks that will be propelled across the pond. The winning “Duck Owners” will receive various prizes.
The event will be held in conjunction with Livingston Summerfest, which includes the Livingston First Aid Squad Food Truck & Craft Fair from 11 a..m. to 6 p.m. and the Livingston Senior Youth & Leisure Services' (SYLS) Haines Pool Open House. The first annual Livingston Summerfest attracted more than 7000 people last year.
