LIVINGSTON, NJ -- Five members of the Livingston wrestling team reached the championship round in the District 9 tournament hosted by Livingston High School on Saturday.

Livingston finished second in the team standings with 140 points, trailing only Delbarton (321).

Lancer wrestlers Aidan Carmody, Agostino Petrillo, Max Lee, Stratos Kantanas and Anthony Newman all reached the championship round and took second place in their respective weight classes.

Carmody beat Franco Graffeo of Nutley in a 6-0 decision in the 106-pound semifinal. Petrillo scored a 10-1 major decision over Seth Levine of Newark Academy in the 126 semifinal. Lee won a 6-0 decision over Justin Jose of North Bergen in the 152 semi. Kantanas decisioned Jarred Garcia of Bloomfield, 8-3, in the 170-pound semifinal. Newman pinned Yosvaldy Dominguez of Bloomfield in 4:44 to win the 195-pound semifinal.

Three other Lancers finished in the final four in their weight groups: Jason Quirk (113), Shaun Quirk (120) and Tyler Stolfi (138).
