LIVINGSTON, NJ - Heritage Middle School students are performing their version of the famous Broadway play "Guys and Dolls" this weekend under the direction of Christopher Russoniello and musical director Christopher Hutter. The remaining show is from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. today. Tickets are $7.00 at the door.

The stage is set in New York City in the time of gangsters and gamblers. Two separate tales of romance are played out with words, song and dance by 30 actors in period costumes. The lead roles are Nathan Detroit (AJ Keenan) who runs "the oldest established permanent floating crap game in New York," while his fiancee, the nightclub "Hot Box" dancer Miss Adelaide (Samantha Kahn) waits for the day they will finally get married, and a gambler named Sky Masterson (Benjamin Asher) who has an up and down love affair with a missionary named Sarah Brown (Shari Bernbach). The actors deliver strong renditions of well-known songs as “Luck Be a Lady" and “I'll Know.”

At Friday’s production, Principal Patricia Boland stated, "The kids have worked really hard— they're so excited. I love to see kids from all different grade levels working together that usually are in different circles. I'm so thrilled to see lines of children waiting to get in to see the show!"
