LIVINGSTON, NJ — Dasí Salon, Essex County’s newest boutique salon at 93 South Livingston Avenue, and Camila Mello’s Beauty Bar just a few doors down at 79 South Livingston, hosted their celebratory ribbon cuttings last week attended by the mayor, township council members and members of the Livingston Chamber of Commerce and Business Improvement District.
According to Dasí Salon, the new boutique brings high-end, affordable, professional beauty services to the Livingston area. Camila Mello, also nicknamed the “Brow Diva,” is a brow-and lash-extension artist dedicated to “customized attention and expertise in beauty,” according to her website.
“It’s great to have two ribbon cuttings in one day,” said Livingston Mayor Al Anthony. “It really demonstrates how robust our business community is to see such a thing. It shows we’re a desirable community to move to or do business in.”
Dasí Salon owners Jennifer Da Silva, a Master Designer with more than 12 years of experience in the beauty industry, and her husband Leandro Da Silva, a wedding photographer, said they partnered with neighbor Beauty Bar for the grand opening to offer a “wide array of luxurious services that clients are increasingly demanding.”
Some of Beauty Bar’s services include microblading, semi-permanent makeup and lashes.
Dasí Salon’s services include haircuts, hair coloring, styling, Great Lengths
Extensions, makeup, body waxing, brow sculpting and lashes. Dasí Salon also features a color, makeup and Dasí girl dry-bar, as well as a photo booth where clients can take “selfies” and post his or her before and after transformation to social media instantaneously.
“After 12 years in the beauty industry, I decided to open a luxury boutique salon that will give my clients the best possible experience without having to travel to New York City or pay New York City prices,” said Jennifer. “I have a classic yet chic touch in everything I do and from hair to makeup, and I am so excited that we are expanding our unique services to Livingston and Essex County. I have no doubt that our modern environment and professional staff will leave clients feeling inspired as they undergo their beauty transformation at our salon.”
According to Jennifer, her vision for the salon is to give her clients access to professional stylists who possess the best possible techniques and trend insights in the industry in “a luxurious, chic and modern environment without the hassle of having to travel to New York City.”
“It was a beautiful ribbon cutting for a salon that stresses the experience as well as the high quality of service,” said Anthony. “Having a salon of this caliber in Livingston demonstrates the type of community we are and what types of high-quality businesses we attract.”
