LIVINGSTON, NJ - In March, “TAP into Livingston” ran an article called, “Local Teens to Hold Catwalk4Cancer on March 22,” which explained, “What started out as a Mitzvah project in honor of a best friend with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL Leukemia) has turned into a labor of love for two local teenagers.”
The results are in—and the event raised a total of $57,894 for Pediatric Cancer Research. And, since May 2012, when Tallie Elisha was first diagnosed with Leukemia, Team Tallie (a fundraising organization started by Ashley Raz and Tallie Elisha) has raised over $105,000 for Pediatric Cancer Research. It started as a bake sale, then became a simple fundraising page through MSKCC’s website, and finally morphed into a first-of-its kind Kids Fashion show where “kids help kids” by having fun and raising money for a great cause.
“We are so grateful to all of our generous sponsors, our amazing volunteers, our awesome models, and everyone who was involved and help this become a reality,” said Steven Raz. “Thank you. Together, we will find a cure.”
