SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - Who would have thought that 23 years after graduating from Columbia University School of Social Work, Margo Miller Weill and Melissa Weiss Bressler, who are both also graduates of the 1986 class of Livingston High School (LHS), would find themselves working together as the social work team for Homewatch Caregivers, a home care agency in South Orange, NJ?
“In large part, due to the efforts of this ‘dynamic duo,’ Homewatch CareGivers was recently recognized with the 2015 Home Care Pulse ‘Leader in Excellence’ Award for the service they provide to a primarily elder clientele,” said Larry Aronson, owner of the Homewatch CareGivers in South Orange. “Homewatch was one of only 42 agencies across North America to receive this honor, and was the only agency in Northern New Jersey to be recognized.”
Weill, who lives in Livingston, is a Partner and Director of Client Services and serves as the ‘face’ of Homewatch. Her primary responsibility is to develop and maintain client and client-family relationships. For her clients, this translates to a confidence that she is there, and “will always be there.” She said that she makes it her personal responsibility to insure that Homewatch CareGivers delivers on its promise to improve the quality of life for their clients and their families.
“Margo was always friendly, caring, organized and smart,” said Bressler. “This is the perfect job for her.”
Bressler, who resides in Warren, is the Director of Community Outreach. Her primary responsibility is to create and maintain relationships with various healthcare and community related agencies.
“For those who remember Melissa and her outgoing personality, this is clearly the perfect role for her,” said Weill.
“Margo and Melissa are indeed a dynamic duo,” said Aronson. “Their professional knowledge and their community roots are a big part of our success.”
