LIVINGSTON, NJ - Are you looking to work in the schools? Are you thinking about pursuing a teaching career, but want to make sure it is the right career path? Are you looking to return to the job market, but not on a full-time basis?
The Livingston Public School District is currently accepting applications from individuals interested in serving as per diem substitute teachers. We are seeking individuals who, in the absence of the classroom teacher, are able to promote and nurture the education of our students by providing instruction, encouraging student progress and managing the learning environment.
Individuals interested in becoming substitute teachers must have earned at least 60 college credits to qualify for a substitute teacher certificate. Individuals possessing certificates of eligibility, with or without advanced standing, as well as standard teacher certifications, are also invited to apply. Pay for substitute teachers within LPS begins at $90 a day. Parents will not be able to serve in this position at the school their children attend.
