LIVINGSTON, NJ — Longtime Livingston resident Mike Skara will give a talk, “Managing Your Digital Photos,” at Livingston Public Library on Saturday, March 11. The two-hour program will begin at 10:30 a.m., with time allowed for a question-and-answer session.
Many people have great photos, but don’t know the best way to organize and save them. Skara has worked as an IT professional for almost thirty years, and, when talking about photographs, he believes “images, both digital and film, are the key to preserving family memories.”
He will talk about some technical aspects of digital photos -file types, standard sizes, dpi, and how to name your photo. People who have lots of photos on their digital camera or smartphone will learn methods for organizing large numbers of images and hear the pros and cons of different types of storage.
Skara will also discuss how to migrate your files to new technologies and give an introduction to online photo album software and services. The program is free and open to everyone.
