Q: If you or your business was an animal which one would it be and why?
A: A Lion, take control of a situation till its completed.

Q: Did you go to school for what you do now?
A: I graduated from the Life Underwriters Training Council (LUTCF) and attended courses with the Chartered Life Underwriters. Its a higher level of certification in the insurance business.  It’s like a master degree in insurance.

A: Marketing

Q: What is the most frequently asked question by potential customers or existing clients?
A: “I am turning 65 and Medicare is so confusing, I need help in making a decision, which plan to choose?” That is really the biggest problem out there.  They get inundated with a bunch of information online and in the mail that they don’t know which way to go.  Therefor that’s why I am there to assist them in purchasing the right plan for the right needs.  I never sell anyone anything, I help people buy.

Q: What is your favorite part of the workday or week and why?
A: When I have an appointment with a client and am able to help them choose the right plan for their needs.  In all the years as an Insurance Agent, I never lost a client and continue to have them as both clients and friends.

A: Being involved with so many organizations in town and supporting its business’s, I feel the residents in Livingston are friendly and courteous.

Q: When you’re not at work, what is your favorite thing to do?
A: Ride my Harley Davidson motorcycle and contribute to the many organizations to which I belong.

Q: Who is your hero?
A: Mrs. Flormount who was my first boss when I was 14 and worked in Olympic Amusement Park who taught me how to manage people and not do anything unless you are willing to do it yourself.

Q: It sounds like you are in a really niche industry.  How would someone that was interested get involved in this kind of work?
A: As a general agent representing multiple insurance carriers, opportunities are available in this market through my agency. With 10,000 a day turning 65, this is becoming a very lucrative market.

Extra Time

It was close to 70 minutes into the match and I had to go to the bathroom.  Badly.

As fans watching the World Cup know too well, bathroom breaks are a serious dilemma, especially for those who don’t have a TV in the loo.  This biological necessity is exasperated by beer, which during World Cup matches also fuels a strong propensity to throw chairs and instigate riots.
