Dear Livingston Business Community,

It’s hard to believe that just a few short months ago, I was being installed as Chamber President and now we are already going into the 2nd quarter of 2017.  Time sure does fly!

The Chamber is constantly thinking of ways to help all of our members. Our monthly resource breakfasts, 'Breakfast on the Road,' give members the opportunity to visit other businesses in town to observe what they do.  It also provides them the opportunity to introduce themselves to all the others in attendance and do some networking.

We have also started an evening event program, 'Business After Hours,' for networking purposes to ensure that people who can’t attend the breakfast meetings can do the same after work.

Finally, in May, we will be introducing a noon time 'Lunch and Learn' series that will be held monthly.  We hope it will help with marketing your businesses.  This program will be free of charge for Chamber members only and we will get you in and out within an hour.

We all need to stop for a lunch break once in a while.  We want to be sure that all of our members continue to have a reason for being a member of the Livingston Chamber of Commerce.  We have been around for a very long time and hope to continue the camaraderie for many more years.

Any new ideas or suggestions are always welcome.  Please don’t hesitate to contact myself or any of the Board members.  You can also e-mail suggestions and ideas as well to

Thanks, and hope to see you at our next event.

Let the Games Begin

I am truly awed by the Olympics.  Watching these superb young athletes on TV inspires me to renew my membership to the gym and pursue my lifelong dream of taking home the gold.

The problem is that in my deluded head, I can see actually see myself standing atop the podium.  I am wrapped in a puffy designer ski coat with a huge piece of bling slung around my neck ...
