Then on Wednesday at approximately 10:56 a.m., Montclair Police officers were dispatched to an Orange Road residence on report of shots fired the previous night.

Montclair Police began investigating the matter after a 64 year old Montclair man reported that during the night, he believed that he was struck on the arm by a bullet.  After seeing no blood, he went back to sleep. When he awoke on Wednesday morning around 11am, he notified the police and was transported to the hospital for examination.

Lt. David O'Dowd stated, "He checked his left arm and observed a small welt, but no blood.  When he confirmed that the projectile had not penetrated his skin, he returned to bed without notifying anyone."

Upon investigation, officers identified bullet holes in the siding of the home as well as a hole in the front window.

This incident is currently under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Montclair Police Department.
