LIVINGSTON, NJ - Naomi Miller’s cabaret performance, “Love, Marriage, Children, Liposuction” brought music and comedy to Livingston Library on June 20. The show was sponsored by the Livingston Library and was part of a program to bring excellent entertainment to seniors.

Miller performed a medley of Broadway show tunes from musicals such as Jersey Boys and some original songs. “It’s an interesting show,” said Miller. “It’s autobiographical and incorporates my story.” Her story, brought to life through music, begins with growing up in Paterson and working in a bakery with aspirations of becoming a singer.

Thea White, organizer of the event, frequently hosts programs such as this one in coordination with the Livingston Library. The senior program runs from September through June and is held on the third Friday of every month. The programs are preceded by a brown bag lunch. Tea, coffee, and dessert are served. Livingston resident Pat Pistolas, who was in attendance, said she “looks forward to the programs because they are always sensational and worth coming to.”

According to Miller’s website, she is a singer, actress, raconteur, recording artist and educator. She performs a variety of programs in addition to this one. For more information, go to
