LIVINGSTON, NJ - Saint Barnabas Medical Center, in conjunction with The Leon and Toby Cooperman JCC in West Orange, is launching Feeling Stronger - Feeling Better, a new innovative eight-week program designed for individuals with Parkinson’s and other neuromuscular/movement disorders. This program is just one example of how the JCC MetroWest and Saint Barnabas Medical Center are working together to provide specialized health and wellness services to the community. This class offering is the first of a series of disease specific fitness offerings that the partnership hopes to provide in the upcoming year.

Sharon Tobey, JCC Fitness Director and Certified Personal Trainer, along with Heidi Schnapp, MA, CSW, of Saint Barnabas Medical Center, are developing this unique program. This series includes exercise classes, as well as a support group. Participants can enroll in the complete series or select individual classes.

The eight-week series begins on May 5 and will continue weekly with Tai CHI CHIH every Monday at 1:30 p.m. and Strength Training every Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. The support group will be held on the first Friday of each month at 1:30 p.m. The whole program runs from May 5, 2014- June 30, 2014.

There were no crowds outside the home to pay homage to ...

A Royal Pain

I went to a big wedding over the weekend.  It was in England.

I like to think I was invited, but according to the Royal Guards and the Thames Valley Police I was not.  But more about that later.

You see, not too long ago I received an evite addressed to me from H&M@royalwedbot.co.uk.  Curiously, it was in my spam folder with a warning message. For an evite it was pretty ...
