HANOVER TOWNSHIP, NJ - A combined effort from the Hanover Township Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff's Office, Criminal Investigation Section and the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit, resulted in the arrest of a New Providence man.
On Aug. 17, the Hanover Township Police Department responded to a dispute at a local hotel. The victim, a 31-year-old female told police she was being held against her will and forced to prostitute herself.
It was alleged that 41-year-old Torrie Fogg of New Providence made the arrangements for the victim to meet with male clients at area hotels and collected money after sexual acts were completed. The victim claimed whe was assaulted by Fogg if she did not comply, according to the Morris County Prosecutors Office.
As a result of these allegations, Fogg was charged with Aggravated Assault, Criminal Restraint, Terroristic Threats, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance With Intent To Distribute, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Promoting Prostitution and False Imprisonment.
On Aug. 22, Fogg was also charged with two counts of Human Traifficking. The defendant is being held at the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a pre-trial detention hearing on the original charges.
