For the second year, NJ copywriting firm Fahoury Ink is marking National Adopt a Shelter Pet month by donating 10% of its October billings to the West Orange Animal Welfare League (WOAWL) to benefit homeless pets.
The WOAWL is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray and abandoned animals in the West Orange, NJ area.
Last October, Fahoury Ink raised over $2200 for the organization. Says Lisa Fahoury, “It was the best month in our company’s 11-year history, a combination of new business and long-time clients who were determined to make their projects count toward the total. What an amazing feeling to be able to hand over such a sizeable check! I’m so grateful for the clients we’re privileged to work with every day.”
Fahoury has firsthand experience with the work of the WOAWL. “Over the 20 years we’ve lived in West Orange, we’ve adopted six cats — all of which brought tremendous joy to our family. WOAWL made that joy possible, and I’m pleased to be able to be in a position to help support their efforts.”
“The gods smiled on us and sent us an angel in the form of Fahoury Ink,” says WOAWL President Sandy Rubin. “Their donations help us toward our goal vetting and altering as many animals as possible before they’re placed.”
The promotional period for the fundraiser runs from October 1 to October 31, and applies to any project for which time is billed during the month. Additional donations to the WOAWL are also most welcome.
“If your company has a copywriting or marketing project that’s been sitting on the back burner, now’s the ideal time to cross it off your list — and gain some good karma along the way,” says Fahoury.
