WEST ORANGE, NJ - Hundreds of people will be descending upon West Orange on Nov. 10 to attend the first-ever North Jersey Woman Expo, on Nov. 10, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Mayfair Farms, which is located at 481 Eagle Rock Avenue. This expansive, one-day event is geared to women of all ages and lifestyles. Advance tickets may be purchased here for $12, or they can be purchased for $15 at the door.

Guests will spend time browsing, networking and shopping among a host of vendors in the beauty, health, finance and restaurant fields offering products and services tailored to the unique needs of women. And, most importantly—they will be doing so in support of the Jersey Battered Woman’s Shelter, a local domestic violence and domestic abuse prevention agency that helps thousands of women escape violence and gain the support they need to move forward with their lives. A portion of the monies will benefit this charitable agency.

Attendees will whet their pallets with samples from some of the areas’ top food establishments, sweet shops and bakeries. The will also experience mini-treatments and demonstrations, be entered to win prizes and giveaways, chat with professionals and purchase specialty products.

Let the Games Begin

I am truly awed by the Olympics.  Watching these superb young athletes on TV inspires me to renew my membership to the gym and pursue my lifelong dream of taking home the gold.

The problem is that in my deluded head, I can see actually see myself standing atop the podium.  I am wrapped in a puffy designer ski coat with a huge piece of bling slung around my neck ...

In the Driver's Seat

Honey, I am going to take the Roadster out for a quick spin around the sun. I’ll be back in a few million years.

That’s nice dear. While you are out, could you pick up a gallon of milk?
