The Secret Garden is directed by Camille Vecchio-DiLorenzo with music direction by Ilene Greenbaum and is produced by Howie Tilkin. Based on the classic children’s novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, this musical tells a story of healing through belief and transformation through hope.

This enchanting classic of children's literature is reimagined in brilliant musical style by composer Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman. Orphaned in India, 11 year-old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive uncle Archibald and his invalid son Colin. The estate's many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies and spirits from the family’s past who guide her through her new life, dramatizing The Secret Garden's compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal.

Over the past three years, Pleasant Valley Productions has presented a number of acclaimed community theatre shows in the area with productions of Songs for A New World, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, a sold-out production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Ragtime, and most recently, Company at Luna Stage.  The company’s mission is to create a professional theatre experience for local area performers, audience members, students and volunteers while providing a broad range of musical theatre works with the highest possible production value.
