LONG VALLEY, NJ – There are only five more months until summer day camp starts. For those still unsure where to send their children this summer, Meadowbrook Country Day Camp owner Mason Goldberg said now is a great time to start looking at day camps—and locking in at low rates.

Prospective camp families are invited to attend an Open House event at Meadowbrook, located at 73 East Valley Brook Road in Long Valley, on Sunday, Jan. 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a Feb. 11 snow date. To preregister for the event, call 908-876-3429 or click HERE to sign up.

Guests will enjoy a heated bus tour of camp and a personalized session with the camp directors and leadership team. There will also be fun games and crafts for kids.

“This is a great way to get an introduction to Meadowbrook and for you and your children to tour camp,” said Goldberg. “Come see our beautiful 50-acre facility and learn about our exciting programs. Meet our on-site owners/directors and large leadership team – and bring friends.”

Meadowbrook Country Day Camp is an American Camp Association (ACA) accredited day camp, which is located on a beautiful 50-acre wooded campus in Long Valley, just outside of Chester. Meadowbrook’s traditional day camp program services children ages 3-14.

The camp boasts a nurturing, mature/professional staff, door-to-door transportation using only air conditioned mini-buses, a unique focus on building life skills, a Red Cross swim program in heated pools, and kid-friendly, healthy lunches are served every day. Unique to Meadowbrook: all tips are included in tuition—there are no extra costs later on.

Activities include: Swim Instruction based on the Red Cross Skill Levels and Free Swim in a 9,000-square-foot pool complex with three heated pools, Archery, Tennis, Basketball, Softball, Soccer, Cooking, Dance, Lacrosse, Flag Football, Nature, Fishing, Newcomb, Challenge Courses, Canoeing, Kayaking, Paddle Boats and Bumper Boats on a private lake, Ropes Courses, Gymnastics, various Arts & Crafts, and Hockey, etc. There are also some unusual activities like Mountain Bikes, Mountain Boards, Ultimate Frisbee, Tapu-aie, GaGa, Handball, Speedball, Chocolate, Arcade, Bonfire Cooking, Earth Wind & Fire, Rocketry, exciting/creative weekly special events and more.

Let the Games Begin

I am truly awed by the Olympics.  Watching these superb young athletes on TV inspires me to renew my membership to the gym and pursue my lifelong dream of taking home the gold.

The problem is that in my deluded head, I can see actually see myself standing atop the podium.  I am wrapped in a puffy designer ski coat with a huge piece of bling slung around my neck ...

Honey, I am going to take the Roadster out for a quick spin around the sun. I’ll be back in a few million years.

That’s nice dear. While you are out, could you pick up a gallon of milk?
