Public is Invited to The Friends of the Livingston Library's Spring Benefit "A Taste of the World"

On Thursday, April 24, Friends brings the world to you as part of its fifth annual spring benefit - A Taste of the World.

LIVINGSTON, NJ - On Thursday, April 24, The Friends of the Livingston Library is holding its 5th Annual Spring Benefit, “A Taste of the World.” The public is invited to attend.

Guests will “travel the world” in various ways. The event will feature an assortment of food celebrating international flavors, dozens of wines from around the world and a selection of craft beers. Wine experts will provide tastings, be available to answer questions, and take sales orders.

Throughout the evening, attendees will be able to participate in the silent auction and merchandise raffles. Auction items will vary from things designed to pamper oneself at home, get away for an evening's entertainment, or perhaps even travel to a vacation destination. There will also be a 50/50 Cash Raffle in which tickets may be purchased independent of the Spring Benefit. The winner does not need to be present on April 24 when the winner is announced at the Spring Benefit.

Extra Time

It was close to 70 minutes into the match and I had to go to the bathroom.  Badly.

As fans watching the World Cup know too well, bathroom breaks are a serious dilemma, especially for those who don’t have a TV in the loo.  This biological necessity is exasperated by beer, which during World Cup matches also fuels a strong propensity to throw chairs and instigate riots.
