LIVINGSTON, NJ — Louis LaSalle, RWJBarnabas Health's senior vice president of corporate external affairs, was recently honored with NJBIZ’s inaugural ICON award, presented to professionals over 60 years old who have been successful within their individual businesses, within their industry and also within their community.
NJBIZ, New Jersey’s leading business journal, honored its award recipients at a breakfast ceremony last month at the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset.
LaSalle joined Saint Barnabas Medical Center in 1990. With indefatigable energy, this consummate volunteer is the go-to person for patients, families and the community. Fundraisers, golf tournaments, community health fairs, galas, and development of corporate alliances are all part of his day’s work.
In addition to his 50 years serving the American Heart Association, Northern NJ Division, LaSalle chairs the Roseland Planning Board; and is president of the Essex County Parks Foundation. He is vice president of the Livingston Chamber of Commerce, and a member of numerous boards of local municipalities.
LaSalle also chaired the Essex County “Save Turtle Back Zoo” Committee and served as member of the board of directors of the American Red Cross, North Jersey Division.
