Scholarships Available at Seton Hall
Teachers in public, private and parochial schools, k-12, are eligible for tuition scholarships at Seton Hall University through the Sister Rose Thering Fund for Education in Jewish-Christian Studies. These 3-credit courses, each covered by the Fund, are in the graduate program in Jewish-Christian Studies, and lead to either a certificate at the completion of 12 credits or towards a Master of Arts Degree.
For the past twenty years, the Sister Rose Thering Fund has given financial assistance to teachers based on the belief of its honoree, Sister Rose Thering, O.P, Ph,D., that teachers are the strongest link to our children and to future generations of children. Teaching about relations between Jews, Christians and people of other religious traditions is the mission of the Fund enabling it to advance the legacy of Sister Rose through advocacy and education. The program welcomes everyone in the community to enroll in classes and to attend the many events and workshops provided by the Fund during the year.
For more information about the program or to obtain a scholarship application, call the Fund office at 973-761-9006. The Spring semester begins on January 13, 2014 while the application deadline is November 22, 2013.
