WEST ORANGE, NJ - On Wednesday, April 10, at 11 a.m., the long awaited Sea Lion Exhibit will be officially opened at Turtleback Zoo, and Governor Chris Christie, along with Essex County Executive Joe DiVincenzo, will be on hand to open it.

Governor Chris Christie will join the County Executive for the grand opening of the Sea Lion Sound Exhibit in Essex County Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange. The Sea Lion Sound Exhibit is a  natural habitat-themed display and the largest exhibit developed in Turtle Back’s history. It features an 82,000-gallon pool for sea lions and a 1,600-gallon touch tank for stingrays, with additional space for educational programs and special events. Turtleback Zoo has not housed sea lions in over twenty years, and the opening helps to celebrate the Zoo's Fiftieth Anniversary.
