Seton Hall University (www.shu.edu), one of the country’s leading Catholic universities, is hosting an enriching and fun-filled summer Theatre Camp that will offer middle school students an experience to explore and become immersed in the many facets of theatre production.
The program will be taught and directed by theatre professionals who will instruct in voice and music, singing, and acting, and development of improvisation skills. Students will have an opportunity to create themes based on Shakespeare’s plays and will present a performance at the conclusion of the program. Games and exercises to build confidence and communications skills that focus on students’ individual needs will also be offered as part of the curriculum.
The Summer Theatre Camp at Seton Hall University runs from Monday, July 9 through Friday, August 3 from 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Seton Hall is offering a variety of other credit and non-credit courses during the “Learn What You Love” summer sessions through August 6, and will include subjects ranging from college courses in psychology, sociology, philosophy, intermediate algebra, economics and oral communications, to non-credit summer camps and institutes such as introduction to video game programming, social media, criminal justice, TV news camp and much more.
To encourage youth to explore topics of interest and try multiple courses, the University is offering a select group of college-credit courses at 50% off their regular cost. For students who take more than one non-credit course, there is a $50 per course discount.
