Softball: Cedar Grove Bests Livingston 8-1

CEDAR GROVE, NJ - Samantha Brancato went 3-for-4 with an RBI to help lead the Cedar Grove Panthers to a 8-1 victory over Livingston on Tuesday in Cedar Grove.  

Mia Faieta struck out 15 in seven innings and walked three.  

Cedar Grove scored first in the third inning and then took over in the fifth inning scoring seven runs. Blaire Adams went 2-for-3 with one RBI in the victory. Micaela Kennedy, Daniella Cordasco and Gianna Kubu each finished with one RBI.

The Panthers improve to 7-2 and travel to West Essex on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - An Essex County man died Friday night after a shooting in New Brunswick, authorities announced on Saturday.
