Livingston Senior, Youth and Leisure Services (SYLS) in cooperation with the Livingston Chapter of the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) plan to conduct a clinic for anyone interested in becoming a certified Softball Umpire.
The clinic is open to anyone (male and female) 16 years of age or older and will focus on the game rules and mechanics required to become a certified umpire.
The clinic will be held on Saturday, March 20, 9 AM-12 Noon, Wednesday, March 31, 7 - 9 PM, and Saturday, April 10, 9 AM - 12 noon at the Sr. Community Center. Attendance at all three sessions is required Advance registration is required.
Anyone interested should contact the SYLS Office 973-535-7925 to register for the clinic. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturdays 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
After successful completion of the clinic each person will be eligible to umpire softball games offered by SYLS and all other sanctioned ASA softball across the United States. A fee is charged.
