LIVINGSTON, NJ – From Sept. 3 to Sept. 30, the private art photography collection of Jan Press, owner of Jan Press PhotoMedia in Livingston, and son Raime Press will be presented at Livingston Town Hall by the Arts Council of Livingston.

The father/son exhibit entitled “Found Art” will be viewable from Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.  Each piece on display is available for purchase at a special price and 50% of the proceeds will benefit the Food Bank of New Jersey in Hillside.

This will be the second time Jan and Raime have collaborated and shown their creative sides together.  While the father and son team explain that they share a similar eye for selecting subject matter to photograph, they approach each subject with their “authentic and unique styles.”

According to Jan, “Found Art is a form or object existing naturally--or man-made that has been perceived as worthy of singular focus – or isolation from its normal environment.  Once extracted from its normal setting, these images become transformed through our eyes into unique objects of art.”

Jan and Raime’s studio (Jan Press PhotoMedia) at 72 South Livingston Ave. has been serving the area with award-winning photography for decades.  Jan Press is a third-generation photographer with an MFA in photography.  He has won numerous awards from the Professional Photographers Association of America and Wedding and Portrait Photographers International. Jan’s work has also been published in many books on photography by KODAK, Silver Pixel Press and Sterling Publishing Co., Inc.
