LIVINGSTON, NJ — A vehicle that was reported stolen out of a driveway on Lee Road in Livingston Monday morning was seen being used in an armed robbery of a gas station later the same morning, according to Livingston police.
A resident first reported that an Audi Q5 was removed from his driveway after being left running to warm it up at approximately 6 a.m. This is the second Audi to be reported stolen from Livingston in a week, according to police. The second one, which was unlocked with a key fob inside when it was stolen out of a driveway on Fieldstone Avenue on Feb. 8, was recovered in Newark.
Not long after the vehicle was discovered missing, Belleville police reported an armed robbery of a gas station with three black, masked males armed with handguns operating the same vehicle, according to police. Livingston and Belleville Police Departments are working together on this ongoing investigation.
