TBA Sisterhood Bowlathon for ALYN Hospital in Israel

The Sisterhood of Temple B'nai Abraham will hold its first Annual Bowlathon on Sunday, October 17, from 12 noon to 2:00 PM at  Hanover Lanes, Route 10 East, East Hanover. The proceeds from this event will benefit ALYN Hospital, a Pediatric and Adolescent Rehabilitation Center in Israel,

ALYN, in Jerusalem, is the premier comprehensive rehabilitation center of its kind in Israel, dedicated to treating infants, children, and teens with a broad range of physical disabilities. ALYN is the perfect acronym in Hebrew and English: Aguda L’ezrat Yeladim Nachim (Organization to Help Disabled Children) and All the Love You Need.  ALYN Hospital combines expertise and love so each patient and family can meet the challenges of living with disabilities and achieve the highest possible level of mobility and independence.

For the Bowlathon, individuals bowl for $15 and a whole family (up to 5 people) can bowl for $50. The fee includes bowling, shoes, one raffle ticket & a t-shirt with all donor names listed. Food is available. Prizes will be awarded to the top three scores of the day. If you are unable to attend, you may choose to sponsor a bowling lane for $75.

Sisterhood’s Bowlathon is part of ALYN's  program,  MITZVAH OF LOVE,  an activity-based charity project that benefits the heroic children of ALYN Hospital.  Designed to instill the values of philanthropy and compassion, MITZVAH OF LOVE projects encourage children and teens to do something because they can for children who cannot. For further information about ALYN, please visit www.alynus.org.

The Bowlathon is a fun way to support Israel and to spend a couple of wonderful hours with your family and friends. Diana Daniels & Caryn Epstein are serving as Bowlathon Chairs. To register, become a sponsor, donate funds or for more information contact the temple office at 973.994.2290 or visit the temple website at www.tban.org

Let the Games Begin

I am truly awed by the Olympics.  Watching these superb young athletes on TV inspires me to renew my membership to the gym and pursue my lifelong dream of taking home the gold.

The problem is that in my deluded head, I can see actually see myself standing atop the podium.  I am wrapped in a puffy designer ski coat with a huge piece of bling slung around my neck ...

In the Driver's Seat

Honey, I am going to take the Roadster out for a quick spin around the sun. I’ll be back in a few million years.

That’s nice dear. While you are out, could you pick up a gallon of milk?
