The Arc of Essex County Announces Uncorked and Uncapped - Wine, Beer and Food Fest

LIVINGSTON, NJ – The Arc of Essex County has recently announced that their event, “Uncorked and Uncapped: Wine, Beer and Food Fest” will commence on Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Westminster Hotel in Livingston. Proceeds from this event will boost programs and other services provided by the Arc of Essex, which are designed to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families.

A wide selection of fine wines, craft beers and interactive food stations will be available to guests. Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased through the event website, www.uncorkedanduncapped.com.

“We hope the attendees have an incredible time, find a new favorite wine or beer and enjoy some delicious food. All this, while supporting a local charity that is instrumental in helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve their personal goals and reach their fullest potential,” said Heather Comstock, senior director of development and communication for The Arc of Essex County.

A highlight of evening will be the 2014 Uncorked and Uncapped Brew Master Contest for home brewers. Attendees will be able to sample the creations of the contestants and vote for the audience favorite in addition to the judge’s awards. The evening will feature wine, beer and food from the following event partners: Opici Family Distributing, Garden State Wine Club, Cambridge Wines, Newburgh Brewing Company, New Jersey Beer Co., Backyard Obsessive Homebrew Club, Cloverleaf Tavern, Poor Henry’s Pub & Restaurant, Mark & Julie’s Homemade Ice Cream, HearthStone Grill and Lithos Estiatorio.
