Towne Realty Group invites our clients, friends and neighbors in the business community to donate to the annual coat drive sponsored by the non-profit organization, Jersey Cares. Warm, gently-used coats will be donated to Jersey Cares as part of its 17th annual coat drive, which has a goal to collect and distribute 40,000 winter coats to at-risk men, women, children and infants in NJ, in time for the holidays this year.

Now through Dec. 15th, Towne Realty Group’s Short Hills office, at 511 Millburn Avenue, on the corner of Campbell Road, will accept warm, clean and gently-used coats men’s, women’s, children’s and infant’s coats. We will transport the donations to a nearby collection site for distribution. We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and the day after, but are open all other days for donations.

We also invite you to get your children involved by participating in the Note in a Coat Program:

The Note in a Coat program works to increase the number of children's coats donated and to personalize the experience for those receiving and giving coats. Through Note in a Coat, children donating coats, write short notes to children receiving coats through the Jersey Cares Coat Drive. The notes are individually placed in the pockets of each coat. The children typically write short notes saying hello, telling the recipient something about themselves, expressing their favorite memory in the coat, and that they hope the recipient enjoys the coat. The goal of this program is to engage children in service by making the experience interactive and meaningful.

Donations can be made delivered to the office Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

For more information, or to arrange another time for a drop off, please call 973.376.8300 or visit our website at http://www.TRGhome.com

Extra Time

It was close to 70 minutes into the match and I had to go to the bathroom.  Badly.

As fans watching the World Cup know too well, bathroom breaks are a serious dilemma, especially for those who don’t have a TV in the loo.  This biological necessity is exasperated by beer, which during World Cup matches also fuels a strong propensity to throw chairs and instigate riots.
